From June 13, 2009, through December 3, 2010 (yesterday), the comments form at this blog has received a series of 17 anonymous communications from three Internet Protocol addresses at Verizon Wireless. I believe these all may have come from the same Verizon customer. Because the messages recently intensified in frequency and language, and possibly crossed from rhetorical rants to threats of physical harm or death, I turned the file over to Verizon, the San Francisco office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Berkeley Police Department.

Very disturbing, although not surprising, because when you’re on top of something as this web site and author certainly is people that have cause for concern will act in irrational and unpredictable ways. My feelings and what I would want to convey to Irv and posters to this site is to not be intimidated and to hope that this person will be identified and brought to justice. There are issues within the industry that need to be addressed and cleaned up so that we won’t continue to lose these athletes at such an alarming rate. The cause is just!
