Concussion Inc. has learned that on Thursday, USA Swimming’s National Board of Review ruled that legendary coach Mitch Ivey, now 64, is banned for life. The board met the previous night, for a hearing in which neither Ivey nor one of his accusers, Suzette Moran, participated.

Later today we’ll have complete links to our coverage of Ivey.

No later than Monday we’ll have complete analysis of the Ivey case. His sudden banishment, decades after his crimes occurred and were nationally reported, is obviously linked to USA Swimming’s desire to ward off the current investigations by Congressman George Miller and the Government Accountability Office.
