I asked the following two questions of Scott Ward, head coach of the Eagle Swim Team in Owings Mills, Maryland (who doubles as the aquatics director of the McDonogh School), and of the three top officers of Maryland Swimming:

* What is Murray Stephens’ relationship with the Eagle Swim Team at McDonogh School in Owings Mills?

* Stephens resigned as CEO of North Baltimore Aquatic Club after accusations of sexual abuse. Is he allowed on the pool deck of other Maryland Swimming clubs?

Raymond Brown, general chair of Maryland Swimming, emailed back: “Please direct any inquiries to the general counsel at USA Swimming.”

I forwarded the message to Richard Young at the Bryan Cave law firm, and I am standing by.
