September 19, 2012Following is the text of a note transmitted this morning to Kelley Davies-Currin’s attorney by the lawyers for USA Swimming.
Kelley,
I am writing to let you know that as of this morning, Rick Curl is permanently banned from USA Swimming in any capacity. He waived his right to have a hearing, declining to fight the allegations against him. His name has been added to the banned list that is posted publicly on our website at www.usaswimming.org/protect.
More importantly, I want to thank you for your courage in coming forward and speaking out. Your willingness to share your story is now holding Rick accountable after all these years. Thank you, Kelley. I have endless gratitude.
