January 17, 2012
I am putting the finishing touches on UPMC: Concussion Scandal Ground Zero, the second title in the Concussion Inc. ebook shorts series, which should be published early next week. I had expected to issue it in late December before breaking developments intervened.
Those of you who placed advance orders – sorry for the slight delay and you’re still first in line for fulfillment. Those of who want to place advance orders now – remit $1.49 via PayPal to paypal@muchnick.net, and be sure to specify whether you will want an Amazon Kindle store copy or a simple PDF file (the latter has the full text but lacks some of the modest production values of the Kindle version).
George Visger’s OUT OF MY HEAD: My Life In and Out of Football remains on track for publication during Super Bowl week in early February. The Visger book is priced at $2.99, and you can place a PayPal preorder by remitting that amount to paypal@muchnick.net. Specify whether you will want an Amazon Kindle store copy or a simple PDF file.
And you can buy our first ebook shorts title, DUERSON, for $1.49 at http://www.amazon.com/DUERSON-ebook/dp/B0063J5YXK/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8& (Kindle version) or by sending $1.49 via PayPal (simple PDF version).
Speaking of the amazing and indomitable Mr. Visger, he has a nice new piece up at the Dave Pear blog: “George Visger in His Own Words: A Career of Concussions,” http://davepear.com/blog/2012/01/george-visger-in-his-own-words-a-career-of-concussions/.
As blog readers know, I have been asking Eileen Wargo, a legal secretary at the Pittsburgh office of the K&L Gates law firm, why she has apparently been stalking me on Twitter with the handle “@EWKLG.” No response from the mysterious Ms. Wargo, nor from her boss, K&L Gates partner Jerry McDevitt, nor from K&L Gates-Pittsburgh administrative partner Carolyn Branthoover, nor from the other Pittsburgh-based partners (a total of around 120).
I also have not heard back from LinkedIn chief executive Jeff Weiner or general counsel Erika Rottenberg regarding the investigation of the fake Eileen Wargo profile at LinkedIn, which was taken down.
