Much of the energy of this site is being directed toward promoting my forthcoming book, PACHINKO MAN: The Life and Meaning of Pro Wrestling Legend Rikidōzan.

However, we’re still keeping an eye on coach sexual abuse, in swimming especially and in the world of youth sports programs generally.

To the best of our knowledge, notorious multistate and multinational swimming coach Dustin Perry is still lying low — if not hiding in plain sight — in Pocatello, Idaho. We’ll be resetting our coverage of a purported police investigation of Perry there. We call this figure “the poor man’s Alex Pussieldi.”

As for the Brazilian-Floridian Pussieldi, Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida — home of the coach’s defunct Nadadores club and now of its successor, Azura Aquatics (for which he seems to be an at least indirect continuing presence) — school officials have yet to account for his campus sightings.

The U.S. Center for SafeSport, under a new CEO, will be trying to demonstrate that it’s turning a new leaf, and if past is prologue, will fail to convince.

But next from here, in the coming days, will be more from the background of Eva Rodansky, a whistleblower in the sport of speedskating and a good friend of this site..
