February 4, 2026Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida – Where Alex Pussieldi Retains a Significant Footprint Through Association with Azura Aquatics – Is ‘Reviewing’ Questions about His Campus Presence
February 19, 2026by Irvin Muchnick
On February 7, Alex Pussieldi’s Instagram account posted a video, which appears to include promotion of Azura Aquatics of Davie, Florida, and to be covering the Sun Conference Swimming & Diving Championships in Ocala. The link is https://www.instagram.com/reels/DUeAy8hDseF/.
[CORRECTION 2/18/26: A translation of Pussieldi’s Portguese text shows that he is not specifically promoting Azura in this video. However, sources on the campus of Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, do confirm that he is seen there with the Azura program.]
A freeze-frame is at the bottom of this post. If a reader fluent in Portuguese can provide a full translation of Pussieldi’s commentary, please send it to tips@muchnick.net.
Repeatedly, Concussion Inc. has asked USA Swimming in Colorado Springs to comment on the acceptability of Pussieldi’s presence on pool decks at meets in Florida. The only thing we have gotten back is a single line from the organization’s senior director of communications, Nikki Warner: “Alex Pussieldi is not currently registered as a USA Swimming member.” This suggests that Pussieldi’s decade-old suspension by USA Swimming’s regional affiliate, Florida Gold Coast Swimming, remains in force. (Florida Gold Coast Swimming has not replied to, nor acknowledged receiving, multiple queries.)
