While American politicians and journalists continue to feign deafness and dumbness, here is what is going on across the pond with George Gibney, the rapist former Irish Olympic swim team head coach who has been living in the U.S. on the hospitality of a permanent resident alien permit (green card) for more than 20 years.

Irish legislator Maureen O’Sullivan, whose letter to Congresswoman Jackie Speier and her more than 100 women colleagues in the House of Representatives and the Senate was first reported here, reproduces the facsimile of her letter at this link: http://maureenosullivan.ie/latest-news/press-release-appeal-made-to-united-states-public-representatives/.

Teachta Dála O’Sullivan also has a YouTube of the Ireland RTE radio network’s piece on the fight to bring Gibney to justice, at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxwcvHbbQVA. RTE’s own audio stream of the segment is http://www.rte.ie/radio/utils/radioplayer/rteradioweb.html#!rii=9%3A20824544%3A0%3A%3A.

In a story picked up by Yahoo News UK, the Irish news website The Journal touches on both O’Sullivan’s efforts there and our Freedom of Information Act lawsuit here: http://www.thejournal.ie/george-gibney-maureen-o-sullivan-2254112-Aug2015/.
