WRESTLING BABYLON: Piledriving Tales of Drugs, Sex, Death, and Scandal – Irvin Muchnick’s book about pro wrestling behind the scenes – is reviewed in the April 25 issue of Play, a Philadelphia-area arts and entertainment weekly. Reviewer David J. Foster calls WRESTLING BABYLON “an acerbic anthology that tears into the storms that plagued the [WWE chief Vince] McMahon era, from illegal steroid use to the sex scandals.” Foster focuses on the chapter about the mysterious 1983 death of the girlfriend of wrestler Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka in a motel room near Allentown, Pennsylvania.
