I have kids who swim for San Diego-Imperial LSC [local swimming committee] and on James Pantera’s Serra High School team. I contacted the school.

I’m upset because this man officiated at the Junior Olympics meet this past weekend. If this info was known, why was he allowed to do so?

I have not received any communication from the school, but several parents are trying to gather information, as we need a new coach immediately. California Interscholastic Federation rules will not allow the kids to compete without a coach nor can they gain admission to any other high school swim team. The season may be lost.

I worry Pantera has our children’s registration information, though I don’t think any Social Security numbers were included. I’m not sure what we should do.

I know several officials had suspicions, because something did not sit well with them. For this man’s level of certification, his knowledge base seemed shallow.
