As reported here this morning, the 103-page dossier on weird and wild felon-con man coach James Pantera, who at last word was still prowling the pool decks of San Diego, was submitted to USA Swimming this morning by Mike Saltzstein, one of the few principled whistleblowers out there.

Saltzstein received a response from Bruce Stratton, the USA Swimming board president, stating in part that “we will take appropriate action.”

Stratton didn’t address whether appropriate action would include the resignations of the board and executive leadership of this organization for setting up and hyping as state-of-the-art a background check system that doesn’t even include reference checks when someone launches his own new coach-owned team.
