Louis Lowenthal drowned on October 28, 2012. By law, the Meadowbrook Aquatic Center, home of the North Baltimore Aquatic Club, was required to file an incident report to the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene within 24 hours. I have applied for a copy of this public record and it is forthcoming.

On Thursday I spoke with Dr. Clifford Mitchell, director of the department’s Environmental Health Bureau. He said the Meadowbrook report had been retrieved and was being reviewed pre-release by the attorney general’s office in case they needed to redact certain confidential information. That review was not completed before the holiday weekend, but I expect to have a copy of the report early next week.
