The State of Maryland has obtained an arrest warrant for Rick Curl for the crimes he committed against Kelley Currin, law enforcement sources today told ConcussionInc.net.

In addition, prosecutors in Fairfax County, Virginia, are considering whether to act on the results of its own criminal investigation. The evidence includes a confession letter written by Curl in 1987.

Curl, an Olympic coach and until recently co-owner of the mega Curl-Burke Swim Club in the Washington, D.C., area, resigned and was banned for life by USA Swimming after Currin (the former swimmer Kelley Davies) this year confirmed stories of Curl’s statutory rapes of her in the 1980s — of which there has long been knowledge among the Olympic swimming organization’s higher-ups.
