A piece about Irish and American law enforcement’s inaction in the case of the teenage swimmer raped and impregnated in 1991 by George Gibney, the former Irish Olympic swimming coach, will be in the new issue of Village, Ireland’s political and cultural magazine.

This article, which will drop later in June, is on the heels of news that my 2016-17 Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security, for material from Gibney’s U.S. immigration records, provided the basic legal argument behind a recent order by a federal judge for his private review of the visa or visa waiver process by which Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle moved from Canada to the U.S. in 2020. (In the FOIA in that matter, the Heritage Foundation is seeking information on whether the government gave Prince Harry special treatment in the wake of admissions in his own book that he had used illegal drugs.)

UNDERWATER: The Greed-Soaked Tale of Sexual Abuse in USA Swimming and Around the Globe – including two chapters on George Gibney in Ireland and in the U.S. – will be published after the Paris Olympics by ECW Press, distributed by Simon & Schuster. Pre-order information is at https://concussioninc.net/?p=15530.
