A WWE wrestling colleague of Chris Benoit, who sent a number of text messages to Benoit that showed up in the log of the Fayette County sheriff’s report, told a friend that he sent still other texts to Benoit that did not appear in the log.
I consider my source a very good one, and peg at nearly 100 percent the likelihood that his friend, the wrestler, was telling him the truth. That would mean that Dave Meltzer’s comment about missing text messages in the public record — not just missing voicemail — is accurate. But it’s Meltzer’s own scoop, not anything I’d reported before now.
