In a filing this week in Alameda County Superior Court, the University of California Regents and this reporter jointly stipulated to an additional 45-day extension in negotiations for exploring settlement of Concussion Inc.’s California Public Records Act lawsuit against the university for internal documents on how school officials processed the 2014 death of football player Ted Agu.<\/span><\/p>\n

The parties told the court that the university “revisited its collection process in response to Petitioner’s Public Records Act requests, [and] with the assistance of guidance from Petitioner, has completed its collection of all potentially responsive records and is currently reviewing them.” This review is anticipated to be completed by November 1, and would be followed by UC’s release of “any responsive and non-exempt records it identifies.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Accordingly, the deadline for a briefing response to our complaint, which was filed in April, is now November 13.<\/span><\/p>\n
