Like all of us, the Irish news site Broadsheet is waiting to see what emerges from U.S. District Court Judge Charles Breyer’s order for the federal government to work out with this reporter final arrangements for the public release of certain immigration records of George Gibney that the court has reviewed privately in my Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security.<\/span><\/p>\n

The deadline for the joint response of the U.S. attorney and my attorney Roy Gordet to Judge Breyer is the end of next week. In his tentative order, the judge said he would escalate it to a binding one if the former does not succeed in breaking the logjam over the remaining 20 disputed documents covering 43 pages.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the meantime, Broadsheet, an invaluable resource for the background of the cases against rapist former Irish Olympic swimming coach Gibney, and related skullduggery on that side of the Atlantic, is out with a new article with additional information about the blatant conflicts of Susan Denham, chief justice of the Irish Supreme Court, who was sitting as an associate justice in 1994 when her brother, Gibney’s lawyer, Patrick Gageby, argued for the ruling that led to the dropping of criminal charges against Gibney because they were too old. (Gibney then fled to the U.S. by way of Scotland.)<\/span><\/p>\n
