Of all the positive reviews of Wrestling Babylon, none has made me prouder than the one just posted at Amazon by Kevin Killian. Yes, that’s the Kevin Killian, the prolific and admired San Francisco poet/novelist/critic/playwright.

Reviewer David J. Foster calls WRESTLING BABYLON “an acerbic anthology that tears into the storms that plagued the [WWE chief Vince] McMahon era, from illegal steroid use to the sex scandals.”

On April 4, The New York Times ran an article about pro wrestling under the headline “Wrestling Grabs the World by the Neck and Flexes.” Irvin Muchnick, author of the new book WRESTLING BABYLON: Piledriving Tales of Drugs, Sex, Death, and Scandal, responded the same day with a letter to the editor, which The Times has not published.
