Congressman George Miller, the retiring California representative who is ranking minority member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, today released the following statement to Concussion Inc. regarding the Capitol Hill future of the issue of youth coach sexual abuse in sports:

“We are thrilled to announce that Congresswoman Jackie Speier, who has a long history of addressing concerns related to sexual assault on campus and in the military, with a particular focus on the needs of survivors, will be the new congressional lead on this issue.”

Congresswoman Speier, of course, is a Democrat representing California’s 14th District.
